A rural reprieve

With water parks, berry farms and nearby marinas, Groometown brings plenty of activity to the rural outskirts of Greensboro. While Groometown residents bask in the serenity of their rural backdrop, they’re only a mere 10 miles from the heart of the city. “Groometown is a pretty rural area, but it’s also still a good spot for people that want to stay connected to neighbors and the city,” says Claudia Valencia, a Realtor with Magnolia Tree Realty. “Also, many people take advantage of having some land and do some farming.” With proximity to major highways, a reprieve from the city bustle and the peace of a tree-filled landscape, Groomestown is a place to put down roots.
