Greater Sullivan offers lower price points compared to downtown
Located 2 miles from downtown Greenville, Greater Sullivan’s appeal is all about cost and convenience. Residents here enjoy proximity to trendy restaurants and regular community events like the Saturday Market, as well as home prices that are easier on the wallet. “It’s still kind of turning over, but there are a lot of updated properties as well as new builds,” says Erica Simonavice, a Realtor with Allen Tate Company, who’s been selling homes in the area for five years. “The majority of the neighborhood is walkable and there are some great restaurants in the area. It’s a great spot for young professionals and early retirees.”
Residents can head to downtown Greenville right outside of Greater Sullivan for some fun.

Walkable community with renovated homes off Augusta Street
Although Greater Sullivan is close to downtown, homes feel comfortably spaced on grassy lots, and sidewalks commonly line the residential streets. Most homes were built in the 1940s, but properties can be found from the 1920s to the present day. Vintage Craftsman bungalows and neo-traditional homes are typical here. Two-bedroom homes start around $300,000 and extend to $400,000, and four-bedroom homes range from $500,000 to nearly $800,000, depending on square footage and renovation history. The CAP Index Crime Score is 5 out of 10, slightly higher than the national average of 4.

Augusta Street serves as a hub for shopping and dining
Locals decide between quick bites close to home and large selections of restaurants deeper in the city. Fast-food options like Taco Bell and Church’s Texas Chicken are available along Augusta Street, but restaurants in downtown Greenville are less than 2 miles north. “The best restaurants in town are in downtown Greenville. It’s not all walkable, but there are many,” says Talia Gila, a Realtor with Keller Williams Greenville Central, who’s been selling homes in the area for five years. “There’s O-Ku, Indaco and Scoundrel—that’s a French restaurant that’s very nice. Between the Trees is nice, too.” There's a Harris Teeter and Walgreens just a mile away down Augusta Street and it's a 10-mile ride on Interstate 385 to top retailers like Costco Wholesale, Target and Trader Joe’s.
Indaco is a favorite restaurant of Greater Sullivan locals.

Entertainment awaits at The Peace Center and the Saturday Market
In downtown Greenville, locals can catch music and theater performances at The Peace Center, watch the Greenville Swamp Rabbits professional ice hockey team play at Bon Secours Wellness Arena or head to the Saturday Market. The popular farmers market takes place on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon from May through October.
There are many farmers markets all around Greater Sullivan and Greenville, SC.

Part of Greenville County School District, the neighborhood benefits from the eighth-best district in the state, according to Niche. Students begin at A-rated Augusta Circle Elementary before transitioning to Sevier Middle, an A-minus-graded school. From there, students attend Wade Hampton High, which earns an A and includes after-school activities like Mock Trial, Youth in Government and American Sign Language Club.
Sevier Middle is one of three middle schools that serve the students of Greater Sullivan.

Locals can hop on the bus on Augusta Street
Bordered by Route 29, also known as Church Street, the neighborhood offers easy access to downtown with a 2-mile trip north. Greenlink Transit has bus stops along Augusta Street, making it easy to head into the city without worrying about parking the car. Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital, a 746-bed hospital, sits a mile south. For travels outside South Carolina, Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport can be reached with a 15-mile trip via Interstate 85 North.
