Diverse architecture in the McBee Avenue Area
The sidewalk-lined streets brim with an assortment of architectural styles ranging from Colonial Revival and Tudor-style houses to Craftsman bungalows and modern townhomes. Single-family homes offer compact yards with shrubbery and mature trees. “There’s a lot of new construction in that neighborhood,” says Nick Carlson, a broker with Wilson Associates, who’s been selling homes in the area for 20 years. “The majority lately has been townhomes.” Townhomes range from $1 million to $2.5 million. Two-bedroom cottages sell from $500,000 to $600,000, while larger five-bedroom homes run from $1 million to $2.5 million. “The prices are higher there. It all has to do with the proximity downtown,” Carlson says. “You can walk to downtown from there.” According to the CAP Index Crime Score, the neighborhood's overall crime score is 6 out of 10, slightly higher than the national average of 4.
Brick colonial homes can also be found occasionally throughout the McBee Avenue Area.

Shopping and dining at The Shops at McBee Station
The Shops at McBee Station on McBee Avenue has a Publix, Great Clips, a nail salon and restaurants like Greektown Grille for Greek classics like gyros and baklava. Other dining options in the neighborhood include Northampton Wine + Dine. Housed in a former trolley barn, the eatery on East Broad offers fine dining paired with a rotating selection of domestic and imported wines. Just north, Fireforge Crafted Beer is a popular watering hole with a dog-friendly patio and live music on Fridays.

Outdoor fun at Cleveland Park
Spanning 120 acres, Cleveland Park on Cleveland Park Drive is Greenville’s largest park. It has a playground, volleyball and tennis courts, and a fitness trail with outdoor exercise equipment. It’s also the site of the Greenville Zoo, home to over 200 animals. The Swamp Rabbit Trail traces the neighborhood’s southern border and meanders through the city. The 22-mile path is a go-to exercise spot for cyclists, walkers and joggers. Just across U.S. Route 29 is Falls Park on the Reedy, a 32-acre green space dotted with public art that features a pedestrian suspension bridge with scenic waterfall views. “The Liberty Bridge stretches over the Reedy River and into Falls Park,” Young says. “It’s the No. 1 item to check off when visiting downtown.”

Proximity to the Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport
