Colonial Park North
Established houses on mature plots
Most of Colonial Park North’s streets are lined with two-story homes that have large, manicured lawns. “They’re not cookie-cutter properties. Most people have acres of land and mature trees,” Sullivan says. Large Craftsman homes with modern features and 3,000 square feet of space can go for anywhere between $400,000 to $625,000. These properties can be found next to Colonial Revivals within the same price range. For those who want something smaller, brick ranch-style homes and vinyl split levels with 1,500 to 2,000 square feet cost around $200,000 to $400,000.Great athletics and afterschool activities
Families living in Colonial Park North can trust Central Dauphin School District for their child’s education. Mountain View Elementary School is the only school directly in the neighborhood and has received a B grade from Niche. Linglestown Middle School boasts a B-minus Niche grade and hosts several student activities throughout the year, including 5-kilometer races and a talent show. From there, students can attend Central Dauphin Senior High School. Ranked No. 3 in Best Public High Schools in Dauphin County by Niche, CD received an A-minus grade, has a great athletics program and offers over 20 AP-level courses that set its students up for success.Live music at the park
When residents of Colonial Park North need a breath of fresh air, Bright Bill Park has 41 acres of green space that they can explore. Locals shoot hoops on the basketball court, challenge a friend to pickleball or take their little ones to the playground. Dauphin County Heroes Grove Amphitheater is an event venue on the grounds that hosts a concert series and movie nights over the summer. For those who like to play golf, Colonial Golf and Tennis Club is at the edge of the neighborhood. An involved neighborhood association
As an active subdivision within the community, Colonial Crest’s neighborhood association is known for putting on several events throughout the year. According to Sullivan, they’ve had wine and cheese socials, neighborhood picnics and collective yard sales in the past. Money from their annual December cookie walk fundraiser goes toward charities like the town’s food pantry, and in 2023 they were able to raise over $700. “We just try to get as many people involved in the community as possible,” Sullivan says.Commercial hubs right around the corner
Although Colonial Park North is a primarily residential area, people don’t have to travel far when they need to go shopping. The southern edge of the neighborhood has a large commercial retail area that includes Colonial Commons shopping mall with name-brand stores like Dick’s Sporting Goods, Marshall’s, Hobby Lobby and more. There are also several fast-food chains in the area like Five Guys and Chipotle. On the other side of Jonestown Road is Paxton Towne Center shopping mall and Harrisburg East SC shopping mall. In addition to finding home goods at Target and Home Depot, residents can travel to these spaces to get their groceries at Lidl, Costco or Giant. When people want to eat out for dinner, there are several restaurants on the other side of the neighborhood along Linglestown Road. Italian Delight serves traditional pasta dishes and pizza for an easy night in. Greystone Public House is a local favorite for date nights and special occasions. The historic 18th-century tavern-themed dining experience is complemented by fancy platters of oysters and crab cakes.Easy access to major roads for commuters

With US Interstate 81 cutting through the area and Interstates 83 and 22 close by, it’s easy for people to hop on and get where they need to go.
