Quiet neighborhood near the capital
Nestled in the Susquehanna Valley, North West Lower Paxton consists of the northern portion of the Lower Paxton Township, Dauphin County’s most populated municipality. About 8-miles northwest of Pennsylvania's capital city, Harrisburg, the neighborhood has newly constructed homes on large lots. From their backyards, residents can see Blue Mountain in the distance. In the summer, the mountainside shades homes in a canopy of green, and in the fall, it transforms everything into a collage of red and orange before dropping its leaves for the winter. “It is a family-friendly area,” says Broker/Owner of Joy Daniels Real Estate, Joy Daniels. “It’s a great place to raise your family. You’re near beautiful water attractions and you’ve got the mountains.”

New construction up Blue Mountain
Sprawling homes sit on wide, walkable streets with sidewalks and well-maintained lots. New construction is common as the area continues expanding up Blue Mountain’s slope. Most properties were built in the early 2000s or later, with some of the newest properties built in 2023. “It’s getting busier. One of the golf courses is shutting down and turning into a new development,” Daniels says. For around $300,000, buyers can find three-bedroom condos or ranch-style homes. Recently built New Traditional homes typically run between $500,000 and $700,000, while large properties with luxury amenities like pools and three-car garages can reach the low millions.
