Despite the small size of the Bradley Brook neighborhood, there are still plenty of housing options for homebuyers to choose from. “There’s a lot of new construction in the area, with central entrance colonials being what most people want,” Marcus says. Residents can also find New Englander-inspired homes built within the last ten years alongside some more modest ranch styles and a few condos built in the mid to late 1900s. Home prices commonly range between $300,000 and $800,000, with some newer residences on large lots costing as much as $1 million.

Access to I-495 via River Street

State Route 110, also known as River Street, is the main road for Bradley Brook residents. While providing access to downtown Haverhill, it also provides access to Interstate 495, which is crucial for commutes to neighboring communities or Boston. “Being able to access 495 so easily is definitely a big part of the community,” Marcus says. Public transportation options are also available, with the Haverhill commuter rail station less than 4 miles away, arriving at Boston’s North Station in just over an hour. Merrimack Medical Center is 6 miles away, and Boston Logan International Airport is about 36 miles away.

Haverhill sushi and pub fare

Residents of Bradley Brook are less than 4 miles from the downtown Haverhill area, home to numerous retail and dining options to explore. One popular restaurant is Wang’s Table, which serves Chinese and Japanese cuisine in a modern aesthetic alongside creative custom cocktails. The Peddler’s Daughter is a few blocks away, an Irish pub with classic pub fare and patio seating. “They make their own ketchup and tartar sauce there, which is great along with their fish and chips,” Marcus says. Daily necessities can be found at the nearby Target and Market Basket along Interstate 495.

Recreation along the Merrimack River

Bradley Brook residents have plenty of recreation options, just a short trip from home. In the neighborhood itself is Merrimack River Park, a small green space with a public dock where residents can sit and watch the water or take a kayak or canoe out. For more riverfront views, the Haverhill Riverfront Boardwalk is a popular spot, where Marcus says residents can often be seen enjoying the views after exploring downtown.

Education paths at Haverhill public schools

Students in Bradley Brook can start their education at Tilton Elementary School, which receives a B-minus rating on Niche, before moving on to Consentino Middle School, which receives a C-plus rating. The final stop for students is the B-minus-rated Haverhill High School, known for offering several routes for students to take, including Marine Corps Junior ROTC courses, career technical education courses and early college courses.

Downtown Haverhill events

Haverhill is home to several events throughout the year, with one of the largest and most well-known being River Ruckus, which typically takes place in late September. During the event, the main roads are closed to make room for stages, vendors, food trucks with live music, a car show and a dazzling fireworks display over the Merrimack River. Residents can also participate in the Christmas Stroll in December, where residents can stroll the streets as they peruse the craft vendors while the sound of carolers and the smell of hot cocoa while the string lights twinkle above.
