Life between the golf course and the fairgrounds
Not only is Helena’s North West neighborhood close to events at the fairgrounds, shopping and dining, but it’s also a convenient place to live for golfers with the Bill Roberts Golf Course right next door. With easy access to some of the best community and cultural aspects Helena has to offer, North West is a good place to settle and become a Montanan. “People are friendly, people talk to you and life slows down,” says Blake Mendenhall, a broker with Bahny Realty and life-long Montana resident. “You enjoy things more.”

Rodeo, monster trucks and live music
The Lewis and Clark Fairgrounds, next to the neighborhood, is Helena's hub for events, especially rodeo. The Last Chance Stampede & Fair shakes the ground every July and transforms the fairgrounds into a festival of horses, antique cars and cowboys. Throughout the year, the fairgrounds host gun shows, monster truck rallies and concerts. In Last Chance Gulch, the Alive at Five concert series livens up the area from June to August. A variety of local bands and musicians perform at Women’s Park and the Lewis & Clark Tap Room on Wednesday evenings.
Shopping to the south and east

To the south, Last Chance Gulch, Helena’s premiere dining district where Helena prospectors first discovered gold in 1864, provides dining, entertainment and nightlife. People sit down to eat at restaurants like Benny’s Bistro and Gold Bar, and shop at Great Divide Cyclery and Cobblestone Clothing. For a night out, Cinemark Helena and the Grandstreet Theater provide entertainment and culture to the city. There are bars and breweries as well, like Brothers Tapworks and Blackfoot River Brewing Company, making nightlife a part of the experience in Last Chance Gulch.
