The City Walk is bringing growth to West Hickory-Westmont
West Hickory-Westmont is divided into several residential pockets on either side of US Highway 321, with manufacturers and warehouses in between. Home prices are lower here than in Hickory’s other northern quadrants, yet residents are still close to the action and can look forward to the arrival of new businesses in the coming years. “That section of Hickory is much more industrial, but it’s not far from Union Square, Crawdads Stadium and Highway 321, which makes travel more convenient,” says Crystal Gragg, Realtor with Coldwell Banker and long-time resident of nearby Granite Falls. “The City Walk has really helped that end of the town, rejuvenating the area by bringing in more businesses.” Thanks to the City Walk, the restaurants and boutiques of Downtown Hickory are walkable to residents on the eastern side of the neighborhood.
