Johnson Street Park
Suburban Neighborhood in High Point, North Carolina
Guilford County 27265
Plentiful housing options
Johnson Street Park has blossomed as a community since the completion of Oak Hollow Lake in 1972. Since the lake's development, the area has grown into a high-demand neighborhood with many smaller subdivisions. Ashley Park and White Fences are just a couple of the subdivisions in the area. Within these are spacious housing options from the tail-end of the 20th century. Most houses in the area sit on quarter-acre plots, while others have larger, half-acre plots. Nonetheless, homes sit close to one another, allowing residents to enjoy a laid-back, close-knit suburban lifestyle. Homes are adorned with small front porches suitable for rocking chairs and swings, allowing residents to enjoy the manicured lawns ahead of them. Most homes in the area are two stories with multiple bedrooms and two-car garages, offering ample space for larger families. "Johnson Street Park is an up-and-coming community and is a nice place to start and raise a family," says Furman Burt, a Realtor with Realty Executives W/S. With Oak Hollow bordering the area, many residents enjoy views of the water from their very own backyards. Closely bordering the water and conveniently named, Waterview Road is bountiful in lakeside homes ranging in price from $300,000 to $500,000. Close inland, homes are priced around $350,000, sitting close to the North Carolina median. Cul-de-sacs are found around every corner, filled with cozy homes where many residents find their permanent footing. Realtor Tim Taylor, founder of Tim Taylor Realty, says that Johnson Street Park and the High Point area residents come here to put down their roots. "With very little turnover, Johnson Street Park is a great place to settle down," he says.
Lakeside activities

The campsite is open year-round and features bathhouses, a laundry facility and an outdoor swimming pool. Many head over to Oak Hollow Park's Golf Course for a day on the green. This 18-hole course has offered golf games amid its wavy hills of green since 1972. For continued adventures, many head to the Oak Hollow Tennis Center to swing a racquet. The tennis facility features both indoor and outdoor courts, meaning residents can play rain or shine.Public and Private education
