Country living meets suburban convenience in scenic Hoopers Creek
Hoopers Creek offers a taste of country living just 5 miles east of Fletcher and less than 15 miles south of Asheville. Surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains, natural vistas are rarely out of sight. The verdant scenery grows richer to the west, sprawling across the foothills of Bearwallow Mountain. “There are gently rolling hills, pastures, walking trails; it’s gorgeous,” says local Realtor Joshua Masella with Mossy Oak Properties Carolina Timber & Realty. “People like that remote feeling, even if they are really close to town.”
A variety of homes and lot sizes with mountain views
This community has a variety of homes and a median sale price of around $350,000. On the east side, the Addison Creek subdivision, developed in the early 2000s, features Minimal Traditional modular houses on modest lots. It feels much more suburban than the rest of the community, where custom-built midcentury homes are typically surrounded by a few acres of woods or farmland. Colonial Revivals and ranch-style homes are popular. Many properties feature backyard mountain views.
