Addicks-Park Ten
Thousands of acres of park space surround Addicks Reservoir
Over 2,000 acres of Addicks-Park Ten is taken up by the Addicks Reservoir and Bear Creek Pioneers Park. "The great thing about Addicks is the massive park," says Alan Bernstein, director of public affairs and communications for the Spring Branch Management District. "We actually developed a 22-mile hike and bike trail that connects the Addicks Reservoir with the White Oak Trails of East.” Addicks Reservoir is a key part of Houston’s flooding infrastructure and prevents the Cypress Creek watershed Buffalo Bayou from overflowing during heavy storms. Bear Creek Pioneers Park is a long-standing community staple offering 60 sports facilities and playgrounds, equestrian trails, and a mini zoo. The park was closed for repairs in May 2024, but visitors can still access the connected Congressman Bill Archer Dog Park on Groschke Road and Cullen Park on Saums Road.Addicks-Park Ten homes span decades of style
Most housing on the west side of the Addicks Reserve Park complex consists of classic ranch homes, 1970s modern-style with sharp angles and experimental shapes, and 1990s contemporary-style builds with stately red brick facades. A ranch home ranges from $250,000 to $350,000, while the 1970s or 1990s-era residences can start at $250,000 and reach $600,000. The north side of the community is made up of private luxury subdivisions, with many European-inspired homes featuring chateau-style roofs, turrets and high-arched entryways. These luxury properties range from $800,000 to $1 million. Addicks-Park Ten has a CAP Index Crime Score of 4, in line with the national average.Katy Schools are ranked the best in Houston
