Blossomwood
Diverse home styles next to Monte Sano Mountain
Fagan Creek snakes through the center of Blossomwood, weaving between gently curving residential streets. One of the neighborhood’s biggest draws is its diverse range of home styles. Georgian-style mansions, colonial estates and vernacular two-story homes sit along the edge of Monte Sano Mountain. Scattered throughout are Craftsman bungalows from the 1940s, ranch-style homes from the ‘60s and contemporary two-story townhomes, along with new construction featuring farmhouse-style architectures. Prices can range anywhere from $225,000 for a two-bedroom townhome to just over $1 million for a mountainside mansion, but most single-family homes here cost between $400,000 and $700,000. “Inventory remains low, and the demand remains steady, so the market is moving well," Nemec says. "Blossomwood’s desirability, though, always keeps the market moving and competitive.”Well-rated local schools
Huntsville City Schools serve the neighborhood. Students can attend Blossomwood Elementary and Huntsville Junior High, both with B-plus scores from Niche. The A-rated Huntsville High has an on-site freshman academy building to help smooth the transition into high school.Nature trails for hiking and swimming at the Blossomwood Pool
Multiple trailheads are located on the east side of Blossomwood, and the Land Trust Wildflower Trail is a favorite for its crystal-clear creek and scattered waterfalls. Oak Park Trail leads to the playground and Little League fields at Oak Park. There’s also a community garden here with fresh herbs to pick and colorful flowers to admire. A smaller playground sits under a canopy of trees at Heritage Park. Next door, Mountain Springs Pool is for members only, but families can swim and ride the waterslides for free at the Blossomwood community pool just down the street.Restaurants and shops at nearby Twickenham Square
Blossomwood is mostly residential, but everyday necessities are nearby, including a Publix at Twickenham Square, about 1.5 miles away. The shopping center also has some chain restaurants and local spots like Taco Mama, for tacos and margaritas. And all the trendy shops and hot spots of Downtown Huntsville are a short drive from the neighborhood.Huntsville Medical District is right next door
Blossomwood borders the Huntsville Medical District and is less than 2 miles from the bustling downtown area. The nearby intersection of US Route 431 and Interstate 565 makes it easy for locals to get anywhere in Madison County.
