In 2023, Wine Spectator named Mayfair-Piedmont's Char Restaurant one of the best places in the world to enjoy wine. Just east of Interstate 231, Char serves southern-style dishes inside a rustic chic setting; diners can enjoy a 20-ounce bone-in chili-rubbed ribeye with red wine, while listening to live piano music.
