A conveniently situated West Indianapolis neighborhood
Chapel Hill-Ben Davis is more a suburb than a neighborhood -- some 34,000 residents call the area home. But since the 1970 consolidation of the Indianapolis and Marion County governments, this combined suburban community has been part of Indianapolis proper. Then, as now, the neighborhood’s location midway between Indianapolis International Airport and Indianapolis Motor Speedway underscores what residents find appealing. “We talk about it all the time in real estate, but probably the No. 1 thing for people living here – literally, location,” says Brian Smith, owner/broker of Great Woods Realty. “I love being close to I-465. From downtown to the airport to getting anywhere in the city, it’s a good location for that.”
