Warm established community just a short distance from Dallas
With its mix of 20th-century homes, warm-hearted neighbors, and a highly regarded elementary school settled among its quiet streets, the aptly named and much sought-after Cardinal Family Village neighborhood of Irving, Texas, is one of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex's shining stars. "It's a wonderful family-oriented neighborhood," says Nell Hunt, a Realtor associate with Ebby Halliday who has over 30 years of experience. Hunt has also been named a Community Hero by the City of Irving. "It's like an old-fashioned neighborhood where your neighbors look out for you, and you look out for them." Though not a resident, Hunt can attest first-hand to the neighborhood's reputation for friendliness. "I remember when I started as a real estate agent 40 years ago, I used to go door-to-door in Cardinal Family Village. It was the first neighborhood I walked," Hunt reminisces. "The people I talked to there were so friendly. I had some wonderful conversations, and it's still that way."
