Located in south Irving, Plymouth Park North combines affordable homes on quiet streets with easy access to the city's many exciting offerings.

In Plymouth Park North, petite ranch-style homes and ramblers built in the 1950s and 1960s line the streets. They sport low-pitched roofs and big front-facing windows. While garages are uncommon, many homes offer carports, which help protect cars from extreme weather, and wide streets provide additional room for parking if needed. Lot sizes average about 8,000 square feet, providing plenty of space for residents to add patios or pools to their backyards. Tall trees are abundant, dotting front yards, and sidewalks line the streets, offering the perfect place for a stroll around the block or walking to nearby schools and shopping. Prices range from $220,000 for 1,100 square feet to $450,000 for 2,500 square feet.

Area children start their education at Johnston Elementary, then move on to Crockett Middle and Macarthur High, all a part of the Irving Independent School District. Both Johnston Elementary and Crockett Middle have C ratings on Niche, and MacArthur High has a B-plus. MacArthur High serves about 2,800 students from ninth to 12th grade and has been renovated extensively since it opened in 1963, with the most recent renovation adding a new Signature Studies wing in 2019.

To get fresh air and sunshine, residents flock to nearby Northwest Park, a spacious green space with a picturesque pond where you can do a little fishing or watch the ducks and geese swim. Jog or bike along the paved paths that loop around the water or challenge a friend to a game of tennis. Kids will love cooling off on the splash pad in the summer or playing on the playground all year round. For indoor fun, check out the park's recreation center, where you can work out at the gym, play basketball or take a fitness class.

Art lovers will have quick access to the nearby Irving Art Center, located less than two miles east in the city’s art district. The sprawling complex offers nearly 300 annual exhibits and performances, plus classes, workshops and a sculpture garden. Attend an art opening at one of the four galleries, enjoy live music at one of the theaters, or brush up on your watercolor technique.

Running errands is easy, thanks to the retailers along West Airport Freeway and North Belt Line Road. Find everyday essentials at Target and shop for groceries at Aldi. For the nights you don’t feel like cooking, visit familiar favorites like Panda Express or Whataburger off West Airport Freeway, or head to local favorite Halal Cuts Taco Restaurant and Meat Shop off North Belt Line Road to grab brisket tacos, chili and loaded nachos.

For your commute or when you're looking to get out of town, Highway 183 runs along the neighborhood’s southern side, which offers convenient connections to other major roadways, including Highways 114, 121 and 12. From there, Dallas is 13 miles away, and the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport is just six miles away.

GreatSchools: The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students.
