Foursquare-style homes are a popular variation of the general style. “It’s a very cozy area -- they’re really solid homes, and a lot of them are kind of treasured. They may or may not have been updated with modern touches, but a lot of people buying today can really appreciate those earlier homes,” says Kathy Byerly, an associate broker with ERA Reardon Realty in Jackson. Byerly has sold homes in Jackson and other Michigan communities for more than 20 years.
