A colorful environment near the river
With the St. Johns River on the west and San Jose Boulevard shops and restaurants on the east, Beauclerc is most known for its convenient location outside Jacksonville, Florida. "It's got a country feel, but it's very close to amenities and shopping," says Gina Graham, local real estate agent at Staged to Sell Realty. Quiet streets bathed in the Florida sun are populated with an array of homes painted in yellows, blues and beiges or adorned with brick and stone facades, making up an inspiring scenery just off the banks of the river.

A mixture of home varieties
Set close together, homes in Beauclerc represent a wide array of styles and prices. "There's plenty of mid-century Craftsman styles from the 1960s and 1980s on large lots," Graham says. "There's also some new communities, so it's a mixture." Mid-century split-level and ranch-style homes with hipped roofs and pastel paint jobs can go for around $400,000, while multi-story French and American Colonial Revivals from the 1980s with large backyards and pools can go for as much as $800,000. Newly built four-bedroom Spanish Revival homes on the riverbanks with access to docks and boating facilities sell for between $1 million and $2 million. Throughout the neighborhood, narrow but well-maintained sidewalks are shaded by palm trees and sparse elms, allowing plenty of sunlight to shine. Yards and driveways are relatively uniform, although some riverfront properties are gated for extra security.
