Established coastal living
Charter Point, 20 minutes from Jacksonville, is an established coastal neighborhood. "The neighborhood has been around since the 1970s. And Charter Point is a solid community that has maintained its standards over the years,” says Millie Kaynar, Broker Associate at Watson Realty Corporation and longtime Charter Point resident. A part of the Arlington region in Jacksonville, Florida, the neighborhood features planned developments that add a suburban charm to the largely forested area. The area has an older neighborhood feel, and several subdivisions showcase homes from the second half of the 20th century. Coastal beaches surround the residential area, allowing locals to explore St. Johns River.

Custom homes and Colonial Revivals
The streets and cul-de-sacs of Charter Point demonstrate a distinct housing variety. Mid-century modern residences sporting angular lines and stucco buildings are positioned next to split-level houses. Custom homes built over the last ten years share the same street as late 20th-century brick Colonial Revival dwellings. “There's a mixture of different architectural designs that are well-taken care of. And the lush trees are one of the best aspects of living here," says Kaynar. Homes in the area range in price from $200,000 to $600,000. Homes near the coast can reach close to a million, whereas homes further inland range from $200,000 to $400,000.
