Quiet neighborhood on the banks of Goodby's Creek
Along the woodsy banks of its namesake waterway, Goodby's Creek offers a quiet lifestyle with easy access to fishing and boating near the east bank of the St. Johns River. "Everyone loves this area," says Realtor Bobbi Brennan with Pursuit Real Estate, who's been selling homes for 15 years. "It's close to the water, so people are often taking out their boats, and there are great restaurants and breweries near the creek. It's also close to The Bolles School, which is a very desirable private school." The neighborhood is close to San Jose Boulevard, which offers restaurants, grocery stores and shopping centers. Homes here range from modest ranch-style houses to luxury condos, making Goodby's Creek a desirable community for those wanting to buy on Jacksonville's southside.

Brennan notes that Wicked Barley Brewing Company is the local go-to. "It's one of the most popular places to go on the southside," Brennan says. "You can pull up on your boat and dock at the brewery.
