Hidden Hills
Suburban Neighborhood in Jacksonville, Florida
Duval County 32225
Traditional homes, condos and townhomes
Homes sit on well-manicured, grassy lots that are arranged in a grid-like pattern. Streets are lined with cozy bungalows, ranch-style homes and large two-story estates. The community has three distinct sections: Hidden Hill Estates, near the country club, Hidden Hill subdivision and Cobblestone development. Homes overlooking the golf course often have New Traditional styles and are the most recent constructions in the community. These homes typically have a higher price tag than the surrounding developments. The Cobblestone subdivision features more of the late 20th century. The gated Hidden Hills development contains homes from the 1980s to 1990s. Rachel Brumsey of East Coast Realty team says, "Hidden Hills residents enjoy peace and privacy. It's one of the quieter neighborhoods in Arlington, but it's still close to Jacksonville's most popular hubs." Buyers can find an attached home for $200,000 to $375,000. Single-family houses tend to range between $300,000 to $800,000.Dog-friendly Ed Austin Park, local history at Freedom Park
Located in the southern region of Hidden Hills is Ed Austin Regional Park, an expansive 144-acre recreational green space. The park includes an off-leash dog park and is home to the Police Athletic League of Jacksonville. Freedom Park honors the rich local history of the indigenous residents of the land, and it is noted as the first marker commemorating members of the Gullah Geechee Community. The park features an 18-hole disc golf course and a dedicated spot for skaters. The Theodore Roosevelt Area at the Timucuan Preserve borders the community to the east. The preserve offers over 600 acres and 5 miles of trails. These marshlands set the stage for viewing native wildlife like waterbirds, armadillos, tortoises and hawks.Children may attend several schools
Students on the eastern side attend Sabal Palm Elementary, which has a B-plus from Niche. Those to the west head to Merrill Road Elementary for kindergarten to second grade and move on to Don Brewer Elementary until the end of fifth grade; the schools have a B-minus and C-plus, respectively, from Niche. Older students spend the day at Landmark Middle, which has a B-minus. Sandalwood High is recognized as a standout high school, earning a B-plus. The school provides students with Information Technology, Culinary Arts and early college programs.Easy access via Interstate 295
About 5 miles from the community awaits Interstate 295, which offers commutes to the rest of the city. HCA Memorial Hospital is about 10 miles south, and Jacksonville International Airport is around 20 miles away.Taking to Monument Road
Cobblestone Plaza, located at the corner of Cobblestone Parkway and Monument Road, has a handful of restaurants and small businesses. Across the street is Cliff's Bar and Grill, where live music, karaoke and trivia nights draw a crowd. Sashimi Fusion is a go-to favorite for hibachi and sushi rolls. The Publix Super Market, across the street at Cobblestone Crossing, is undergoing remodeling. Locals can also shop for groceries and home goods at Winn Dixie or Walmart, less than 5 miles away.
