Doublegate is a wooded and amenity-filled neighborhood in Johns Creek. “Once you’re in Johns Creek, it’s hard to leave,” says Juli St. George, a Realtor with Keller Williams Realty Intown Atlanta and a longtime local. “It was a quiet area north of Atlanta. Events at the DoubleGate Swim & Tennis Club
Doublegate has a close-knit feel, with the DoubleGate Swim & Tennis Club being a central gathering place for families. Tennis matches, playground visits and swims in the six-lane pool (which also serves as practice space for the youth swim team) are regular activities. The neighborhood association organizes adult socials in October, offering a homecoming feel for grown-ups. Cape Cod, Colonial Revival and French Provincial influenced styles range from 3,000 to 5,000 square feet. Homes rarely go up for sale, but the median price over the past year was around $880,000. Residents also pay HOA fees. “HOAs create a close-knit feel, where you’re part of a community within the city,” St. George says. “They help keep neighborhoods well-maintained and desirable.”

Doublegate is close to several other recreational hubs less than 5 miles away. The Atlanta Athletic Club is Atlanta’s oldest golf club, founded in 1898.
