In a prime location at the border of Fayetteville, Arkansas, is the city of Johnson, full of desirable community amenities and a custom-home vibe that folks can't say enough good things about. "It's a good, well-established neighborhood," says Brian Dandy, principal broker of Crye-Leike Realtors Fayetteville. "There are some neighborhoods described as good that are just okay, and there are some that are actually great. Johnson is one of the great ones. It has great community amenities and an incredibly convenient location close to everything."

An eclectic mix of American and European styles
An eclectic mix of housing styles is found around the city, from Craftsman to variations on both American and European Traditional styles. Most of the homes were built from 2002 to 2014 and range in size from 2,100 to 4,000 square feet with three to five bedrooms, two- to three-car garages and lot sizes up to an acre. "The houses were built at different times by different builders," Dandy says. "So, they're not cookie-cutter. They have a little more character than homes in your standard one-builder neighborhood." Interested buyers can expect to pay anywhere from around $400,000 to $700,000 for a home in Johnson.

An all-American hero’s park
Not only is Johnson full of attractive homes and sidewalk-lined streets dotted with mature leafy trees, but it also features desirable amenities, including a community pool, a fishing pond and a sports court for basketball or tennis. Named after David Lashley, an All-American Fayetteville High School football player and well-known Fayetteville philanthropist, the community’s 4.5-acre park features open green space, a playground and a shady pavilion, perfect for a lunchtime picnic. Across the road from the neighborhood is the beautiful Botanical Garden of the Ozarks, home to 12 themed gardens, plus the region's only native butterfly house. You'll also find a Lake Fayetteville Trailhead, which leads to the 6-mile-long paved walking trail that loops around the lake and connects to the Razorback Greenway, a 40-mile stretch of paved trail known as the "backbone of Northwest Arkansas," linking seven regional cities, including Fayetteville, Rogers and Bentonville.
The Lake Fayetteville Trailhead is just across North Crossover Road from Copper Creek.

The Boardwalk Food Truck Court has it all
Before heading to David Lashley Park, grab some ingredients for your picnic lunch at the Walmart Neighborhood Market about 3 miles north of Johnson. Check out the nearby, family-owned La Hacienda restaurant for some tasty Mexican fare, like sizzling pork fajitas accompanied by a frosty margarita. For even more culinary options, there's The Boardwalk Food Truck Court on Old Missouri Road, where various local vendors serve all types of cuisine, from barbecue to sushi to crepes. For those who prefer shopping over sushi, the Northwest Arkansas Mall, with over 100 specialty and department stores, like American Eagle and Dillard's, is right off Business Route 71.

Light it up at Frost Fest
The city’s proximity to Fayetteville allows residents to participate in all the events that take place there, including live concert series, glassblowing fairs and community game nights. During the holiday season, Frost Fest takes the area by storm, celebrating the locals’ love for craft beer as only the Ozarks can. Lights of the Ozarks illuminates the town with Christmas light displays and a parade.
Copper Creek lies just east of North Crossover Road in east Fayetteville.
Let I-49 lead the way
