True to its name, the neighborhood features a wooded setting. Mature trees surround established homes on oversized lots, several of which offer an acre or more. There’s also a Dollar General on Dan Avenue. A Walmart Supercenter is located about 6 miles away along the Interstate 555 bypass, which can be accessed just west of the neighborhood.

Multi-purpose fields, baseball diamonds at Joe Mack Campbell Sports Complex
Residents are within 2 miles of one of Jonesboro’s premier parks. The Joe Mack Campbell Sports Complex, also on Dan Avenue, features 19 multi-purpose fields and 10 youth baseball diamonds. Other amenities include four large diamonds, tennis courts and a walking track. Boaters and anglers can take advantage of the recreational opportunities at Lake Frierson State Park about 10 miles north.

The I-555 bypass runs south of downtown and eventually turns into Interstate 55, which connects directly to Memphis about 75 miles from the neighborhood. Memphis International is the closest commercial airport.
