Maplewood
Suburban Neighborhood in Jupiter, Florida
Palm Beach County 33458
Attractive housing highlighted by high-value golf-course homes
The neighborhood's traditional residential settings comprise several self-contained subdivisions offering varying degrees of walkability. The largest and most established feature ranch-style homes on spacious lots fronted by sidewalks. The smaller gated subdivisions are more densely populated with contemporary homes highlighted by the Spanish Mediterranean motif. Prices range from about $600,000 to $1.1 million. Monthly HOA fees range from $150 to $275. The low fees make these homes additionally attractive to prospective buyers, says Laurie Hodges of KW Reserve, who has sold homes in the neighborhood. The luxury options at the gated Loxahatchee Club range from $1.2 million for 3,000-square-foot homes to more than $8 million for waterfront mansions. Monthly HOA fees range from the high $600s to the low $800s. The neighborhood is far enough inland that flooding is not a major concern, but there is a high risk of wind damage during hurricane season, and insurance rates are likely to reflect that.Jerry Thomas Elementary is a neighborhood school among top-rated options
Additionally attractive for families are the top-rated educational options in and around the neighborhood. “The schools are really good,” Hodges says, “and they are a draw for a lot of people.” Jerry Thomas Elementary, located in the neighborhood, and Independence Middle are A-minus-rated schools by Niche. The latter offers choice programs in business, law, education, STEM and medical science. Nearby Jupiter Community High is an A-rated school that features the prestigious Cambridge International course of study and dedicated programs in subjects as varied as criminal justice, marketing and culinary arts. All Saints Catholic School is a private neighborhood option, also A-rated by Niche. The pre-K through 8 institution is located at St. Peter Catholic Church. From the Loxahatchee Club to Maplewood Park
The centerpiece of the private Loxahatchee Club is the 18-hole course originally designed by Jack Nicklaus. The course has been renovated twice since the community opened, and today the par-72 layout stretches for more than 7,200 yards. Members also enjoy additional amenities such as a pool and tennis courts centered around a clubhouse, which hosts regular social activities that include card games, book club meetings and wine tastings. Outside the club, all neighborhood residents can access the athletic spaces and playscapes at Maplewood Park. For golfers outside the Loxahatchee community, The Golf Club of Jupiter is a semi-private course that has been a city institution since 1940. Carlin Park is another popular recreational destination, located on the city's oceanfront about 4 miles away.Jupiter Medical Center is a short drive from the neighborhood
Tucked into central Jupiter, the neighborhood offers a quiet residential retreat. At the same time, it is conveniently located near Indiantown Road, one of the city's main thoroughfares. “Maplewood is a peaceful community within minutes of everything Jupiter has to offer,” Hodges says. Residents can catch the bus along Indiantown Road or take a quick drive directly to the oceanfront. Even closer is Jupiter Medical Center, the top-rated hospital in Palm Beach County. A commuter rail station is conveniently located on the medical campus. The Florida Turnpike and Interstate 95 converge not far from the neighborhood, providing access to points of interest throughout the region. Palm Beach International Airport is a 20-mile drive south.Publix anchors the nearby Chasewood Plaza
While residents enjoy a commercial-free neighborhood, they also enjoy proximity to retail and dining options. Walmart offers one-stop shopping just outside the neighborhood, and Publix anchors the nearby Chasewood Plaza. The closest eatery is Maplewood Bagel Market. For those seeking to relax over a meal, Cucina Jupiter serves up highly rated Italian favorites.
