Planned community in the heart of Jupiter
While the homes that line the suburban streets of Paseos might look more at home on the Iberian Peninsula, these Spanish-inspired buildings actually sit less than 5 miles from the beach in the bustling heart of Jupiter. The neighborhood’s namesake subdivision offers a master-planned development full of lush landscaping and Spanish-style homes, characterized by their stucco exteriors, decorative arches and clay barrel-tiled roofs. The area features a central community clubhouse with a tennis court, playground and community pool, but many residents have their own backyard pools.
Touches of Spain among the streets
Houses here were built in the early 2000s and are priced slightly higher than some other neighborhoods in Jupiter, with three-bedroom homes listed in the mid-$900,000s while larger properties reach nearly $1.5 million. Neighborhood streets are named for various cities, villages and regions in Spain and other developments in Paseos follow this same naming convention, with apartment complexes like Barcelona Jupiter and Floresta Apartments offering Spanish-inspired buildings and a similar overall aesthetic. Paseos also offers two town house communities for seasonal residents, empty nesters or anyone looking for less square footage. These units can sell in the upper $200,000 to low $400,000s range.
Jupiter Elementary is less than a mile away
Students in Paseos can attend Palm Beach County public schools, beginning their educational journey at Jupiter Elementary School, less than a mile from the neighborhood. The school offers a Spanish dual language program, where students are immersed in another language as early as 1st grade. Jupiter Middle features a B-plus overall grade from Niche and offers four choice programs for students to get a head start in their future careers in culinary arts, engineering, medical sciences and multimedia communication. Jupiter Community High is another highly rated school less than a mile away, with an overall A grade from Niche. Students can enroll in one of six in-house academies for subjects like information technology, criminal justice and marketing, or one of the school’s three choice academies for engineering, environmental science and pre-medical science. Students can also earn an Advanced International Certificate of Education (AICE), an international diploma developed by Cambridge University and recognized worldwide.
Events at the library and aquatic center
Swing by Jupiter Branch Library for even more educational opportunities, with community classes and events like group game nights, amateur music practices and story times for all ages. The library even offers a seed library for locals to get free seeds and grow their own produce. After you’ve found the perfect book, head right outside the library doors to Officer Bruce St. Laurent Park to read in the shade or enjoy the playgrounds and covered picnic pavilions. During those tropical summers, spend a day cooling off at North County Aquatic Complex, a nearby community pool offering water aerobics, competitive swim teams, summer camps and lessons for all ages. Even winter weather doesn’t stop the fun, since the main swimming pool is heated during colder months.
Local eats at Sea Plum Town Center
Residents in Paseos can head to nearby Sea Plum Town Center to grab a quick bite to eat from Blue Water Taco, a locally owned Mexican restaurant serving street food favorites, or get fresh produce and other household groceries at the Publix.
