Living close to the Kansas City Chiefs
Vineyard Northwest residents live in an area with low home prices, easy access to Cleveland Park and 6-mile commutes to downtown Kansas City. Cleveland Park may be the closest option for practicing baseball or having fun on the playground, but locals can also be at Seven Oaks Park or any museums in downtown Kansas City after a short drive. Not to mention, Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas City Royals fans can join the cheering crowds at the nearby stadiums. This neighborhood gives residents a quiet area to relax in before going to nearby hot spots for fun. “I’ve seen people who have lived there for years, people who just moved there, and lots of investor properties,” says Paul Galbrecht, the owner, CEO and Realtor with Paul Michael Homes, who has sold numerous homes across Kansas City.
Vineyard Northwest features bungalows and ranch homes
Residents in the neighborhood live in 1950s bungalows and ranch homes. Asking prices often start around $75,000 and peak at $200,000. “Homes are sold on average here for 96% of their sale price,” says Marline Brown, Realtor for Murrell Homes. “The average days on the market is seven.” Multiple move-in-ready options wait here, but those who want to invest in a renovation project can also find homes ready for touch-ups. Homeowners often park on uncovered driveways that occupy their moderate to large yards. The roads that run throughout the neighborhood are slim, so most lack sidewalks.

Practicing baseball at Cleveland Park
Cleveland Park, stretched across 29 acres, makes up most of the neighborhood’s heart. It’s most popular for its four baseball fields and concessions frequented by local leagues, but the playground is also a hot spot for kids to have fun. Seven Oaks Park also has playground equipment surrounded by open grassy areas, a paved walking trail and a nearby splash pad.

When homeowners need to stock up on groceries, they visit Aldi or the Blue Parkway Sun Fresh. Residents might also stop by the Family Dollar on East 39th Street to pick up last-minute essentials. Sun Fresh is part of The Shops on Blue Parkway center, where locals can find clothes at Rainbow Shops or plenty of options at Shoe Trend 17.
Cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium
It’s hard to live in Kansas City and not be a Kansas City Chiefs or Kansas City Royals fan. Luckily, Vineyard Northwest residents can drive less than 4 miles to the Harry S. Truman Sports Complex to cheer on their favorite team. “Kansas City has been undergoing major redevelopments in the past 15 years. The city will probably vote to move the Kansas City Royals to a new stadium downtown and build a sky park,” Galbrecht says. Even if the team moves downtown, Vineyard Northwest residents will have a short drive to see their favorite baseball team play.
