Homes offer turn-of-the-century charm and first-time buyer accessibility

Sloping streets are lined with tight sidewalks and feature 1920s bungalows, midcentury ranch-style houses, split-levels and American Foursquares homes. Prices range from around $70,000 to $180,000. Listings average 35 days on the market, which is faster than the national average of 44.
