Mix of established homes and new builds in St. Peter's
The houses of St. Peter’s are varied. Colonials, modern traditional homes and new builds are tucked away in secluded cul-de-sac subdivisions lined with sidewalks. “Even with all the new construction, it’s still a very quiet, peaceful place to be,” says Stephanie Kaiser, a real estate agent with Big Block Midwest. “You always see someone out walking their dogs or with their family.” Yards around these homes are uniform and spacious, enhanced by sparsely scattered trees and manicured gardens. Along the neighborhood’s main thoroughfares are established ranch homes and farmhouses offering much more space between their neighbors, with some sitting on as many as 6 acres. Potential buyers can expect to pay anywhere from $200,000 to $685,000, with homes on the upper end being new construction with open floor plans.Sledding at St. Peter's Park
The neighborhood’s namesake park keeps residents close to nature. The wide-open, grassy green space is anchored by a small pond used for fishing. During the winter months, it becomes a popular site for sledding. The city’s first accessible playground sits just 2 miles east of St. Peter’s. The Dream Playground at Petzke Park “is newer to the area, and there was a lot of community involvement to make it a reality,” Kaiser says. “Nonprofits donated to the park, and many of those people volunteered to build the playground. It’s a huge space, and it really is a dream for kids in the area.” The uniquely designed play space features Braille and sign language displays, musical instruments and a wheelchair-accessible merry-go-round. It’s situated just off Lake Michigan's shores, lined with beaches and parks. Alford Park is the closest to St. Peter’s and is a hub for sunbathing, waterfront walks and bike rides along the Pike Bike Trail.Studying the arts at Bradford High School

Each earns a B-minus rating from Niche. Students later filter into C-rated Bullen Middle School, which is within walking distance from most homes in the neighborhood and offers a variety of extracurriculars, from a mariachi ensemble to a Dungeons and Dragons club. Bradford High School, which receives a B-minus from Niche, is known for its thespian troupe. The performing arts club was chosen to perform at the International Thespian Festival in 2024, joining schools from other states, including California, Colorado and New Jersey.Within 4 miles of downtown Kenosha
St. Peter’s is less than 4 miles north of downtown Kenosha’s dining scene, museums and waterfront parks. The city center also features a Metra stop, which links locals to the Green Line that runs south to Evanston and Chicago. Residents who use public transportation can catch a Kenosha Area Transit bus at one of the stops along Wood Road or 27th Street. Main roadways in St. Peter’s connect to Interstate 94, which locals take 36.5 miles north to Milwaukee or 65 miles south to Chicago.Breakfast at Eli's Cafe
A straight shot north on Wood Road leads to a small shopping center housing a Pick ‘N Save, Dollar Tree and Walgreens for quick errand runs. The chain stores sit next to a medley of local eateries, including Eli’s Café and Pancake House, where the small booths fill up quickly during breakfast hours as friends and family mingle over a cup of coffee and Oreo pancakes. Moodys Subs and Sweets is a casual, family-owned spot known for its Middle Eastern and Greek-inspired soups and sandwiches. Larger, big box stores like Walmart, Sam’s Club and ALDI are situated roughly 3 miles southwest of the neighborhood.
