Single-family homes beside Fort Sam Houston
Friendship Park is a neighborhood in Kirby, Texas, an eastern suburb of San Antonio. It’s just east of Fort Sam Houston and houses several industrial employers, including an Amazon warehouse. Many people move here to be close to the military base or to work. "There are a lot of military families that live in that area," says Katie Farias from the Office of State Senator Roland Gutierrez. The neighborhood sits along several interstates and is only 10 miles east of downtown San Antonio, suiting couples or families who have one spouse working in the city. The neighborhood primarily has single-family homes occupied by their owners, and several public schools are located within the neighborhood. “Most people who live in Friendship Park have been there a long time, so people tend to know each other,” says Realtor Pamela Sanchez. “And with the proximity to the main highways and military bases, it’s a perfect starter home.”
