Mill Slough
Traditional ranch-style homes anchor the neighborhood's mix of housing
Mill Slough’s traditional single-family homes are mostly ranch-style options with driveways, attached garages and spacious yards. These homes, built primarily between the late 1970s and the 1980s, mingle with a mix of contemporary custom homes. Prices typically range from the low $200,000s to the mid-$400,000s. The average home cost about $335,000. Lower taxes in Osceola County compared to Orange County provide relative affordability compared to neighboring Orlando. One of the benefits of living in this area of Kissimmee is that there are no HOAs, so homeowners enjoy residential freedom. One-bedroom manufactured homes starting in the $15,000 range offer a cheap and cozy alternative.Elementary, middle, charter schools, college in the neighborhood

Neighborhood activity is concentrated at the Bob Makinson Aquatic Center and the recreational spaces that surround it, including a soccer field and a playground. “That’s a plus for residents who have young kids, who can ride their bikes there,” Salgado says. The El Yunque Splash Pad and an 18-hole disc golf course are featured attractions at 65th Infantry Veterans Park in neighboring Buenaventura Lakes.
