A city address with county schools

Two major factors make Vinton Woods a desirable neighborhood in southern Kokomo. One is the neighborhood’s proximity to Community Howard Regional Health hospital. The other is that although Vinton Woods features a Kokomo address and city services, it’s zoned for the outlying Western School Corporation. “Vinton Woods is in a very good school district,” says Cyndi Dieterman, agent for The Key Team. “And that makes it wanted.”

Close to Jackson Morrow Park

“A big draw is the proximity to Jackson Morrow Park,” Goodnight says. The 100-acre park, less than a mile south of the neighborhood, is Kokomo’s largest and features an extensive trail system. Morrow Park also has a skate park, sand volleyball courts, and a play area shaped like Indiana’s state outline. Kirkendall Interpretive Nature Center, also located at Morrow Park, features exhibits highlighting native Indiana turtle and frog species and offers regular educational programming.
