Expansive park anchored by Lake Osborne
John Prince Park dominates the eastern side of ROLO. The park is named for John Prince, a Lake Worth Beach resident who served as county commissioner for 18 years. The massive 700-acre green space is situated along Lake Osborne, a hotspot for fishing, boating or kayaking. Miles of greenway paths, including the marsh and wildlife-filled Custard Apple Trail, loop around the reservoir. The park serves as the area’s nucleus, where residents can take advantage of the outdoor fitness center, a dog park, four playgrounds, and sports facilities for softball, basketball, pickleball or tennis. There’s even a golf center where people can work on their game before teeing off on one of the many courses scattered around the greater West Palm Beach area. John Prince Park’s campground is also a popular destination for travelers and snowbirds wanting to enjoy the area’s natural beauty. Complete with its own boat launch, the campsite has space for both tent camping and dozens of RVs. An added bonus for ROLO residents is its proximity to South Palm Beach. The sandy shores and waterfront restaurants are less than 3.5 miles east.
