A master-planned community in Land O' Lakes with gated villages
Oakstead, a Pasco County master-planned development, offers gated homes, a neighborhood elementary and community gatherings. "In Oakstead, there is a really nice feeling of belonging and camaraderie. People get together often and sit in front of their garages and talk," says Linda Krauer, an Oakstead resident and employee at the clubhouse. "I have one neighbor that does Tuesday night get-togethers; another neighbor has Wine Wednesdays. You'll see a lot of that out here." The area is a part of Land O' Lakes, a bedroom community for Tampa. When residents are not at work, they enjoy the private clubhouse, outdoor amenities and community events. "The Fun Festival is an annual event open to the whole development. And we have a lot of other activities that bring the community together," Krauer says.
