Large, leafy lakeside properties are the main draw to Paul Mar, an unincorporated Lake Worth neighborhood. With the lake as their backyard, residents often cast lines or boat to one of the community’s hangouts, including a locally owned restaurant and an expansive park. Paul Mar sits between two main roads in unincorporated Lake Worth, right off Interstate 95. One wouldn’t guess the neighborhood was so central just by looking at it, says local Paul Jackson, a Realtor with LoKation Real Estate. He often visits Lake Osborne for boating and nature photography. “Once you get off that main road, it’s a quiet area… It definitely has that Florida-esque look with all the pine trees and palm trees.”

Lake Osborne and John Prince Park
Lake Osborne and John Prince Park have a special place in the heart of many Lake Worth locals, Jackson included. He often boats on the 350-acre lake and enjoys its versatility and accessibility. “You can relax on the water, ride around to find some beautiful nature spots, and if you want to have a blast, there’s a section where you can just floor it – or go ‘flat out’ in boating terms.” While some folks fish for peacock bass and catfish, Jackson favors the lake for its birding scene. “You can see herons, egrets, ospreys and kingfishers, which are odd, odd birds, but very pretty. They’re smart and they’ll fly away quickly if they see you taking a picture.” Wading birds and other wildlife, like iguanas, are also easily spotted around John Prince Park. The green space envelopes Lake Osborne’s north side and spans over 720 lush acres, featuring various athletic facilities – from pickleball courts to ballfields. It also has playgrounds, boat launches, a tranquil campsite and a spacious dog park with five dog runs.
