Quiet neighborhood without any gates
With only two entrances to Regency Park, the neighborhood has the feel of a gated community without any gates or homeowners association. “Regency Park is one of the upper echelons neighborhoods in town,” says Joe Baeza, a public information officer and investigator for the City of Laredo who has lived in the city since 1980. “There’s a lot of affluent people who live there. If you don’t belong there, you stick out.” Surrounding the neighborhood is a stone wall, with a small path leading to Nye Elementary in the north of the neighborhood. “It’s a pretty quiet place, pretty family orientated,” says Baeza. “There’s no wild-style, Miami-style, not much of a peep out of that place.”
The community of Regency Park only has two entryways to the neighborhood.

Homes with tennis courts and pools
Luxury and the occasional custom-built homes in a variety of styles line the streets of Regency Park. Although homes rarely go on the market here, prices can range from $347,000 for a ranch-style with an indoor pool to $1.3 million for a corner lot home with an in-ground pool and a private tennis court. Most homes have backyard pools, and private tennis courts are scattered throughout the neighborhood. There are no sidewalks in Regency Park, but mature trees fill the area and most properties are enclosed by a privacy fence. There are a few plots of land available within the community, ranging from $250,000 for .41 acres and $1.2 million for 3 acres. Homes sit close together, but primarily due to the fact that homes are large and sprawl across their property.
