Although he lives 13 miles north, Mennenga, who has connections to small businesses all over Pinellas County, is well-acquainted with Largo. “It’s super family-oriented, but close to the tourism in Clearwater.”

Palm Hill retirees and families in Orangewood Estates
On its northern side is Palm Hill Country Club, a 55-plus mobile home community. 600-square-foot, one-bedroom properties are priced between $35,000 and $45,000, while those with two bedrooms start at $120,000 and top at $220,000. Orangewood Estates sits south, featuring one-story homes built in the 1960s and 70s. Properties offer three-to-four bedrooms and 1,500 to 2,500 square feet of living space. Theater productions in Largo Central Park
The Largo Public Library, which opened in 1916 in the Largo Town Hall building, hosts reading challenges, writing competitions and language learning classes for all ages. The Central Park Performing Arts Center is a 24,000-square-foot cultural center in Largo Central Park. The center houses the Tonne Playhouse and its rotation of concerts, dinner theater productions and events like the annual Largo Music Fest. Locals can take the SunRunner bus, operated by Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority, to Downtown Largo and HCA Florida Largo Hospital, about 3 miles away.
