Although he lives 13 miles north, Mennenga, who has connections to small businesses all over Pinellas County, is well-acquainted with Largo. “It’s super family-oriented, but close to the tourism in Clearwater.”
Baskin is home to the Palm Hill Country Club which is a 55-plus community.

The 23-acre Ridgecrest Park features a freshwater pond, playground and baseball field. Other notable parks include John S. Theater productions in Largo Central Park
The Largo Public Library, which opened in 1916 in the Largo Town Hall building, hosts reading challenges, writing competitions and language learning classes for all ages. The Central Park Performing Arts Center is a 24,000-square-foot cultural center in Largo Central Park. The center houses the Tonne Playhouse and its rotation of concerts, dinner theater productions and events like the annual Largo Music Fest.
