Getting schooled with Clark County School District

Families have a variety of public school options available for their students. Over five elementary schools serve the community, including Eisenberg, Garehime, Conners, Deskin and Allen Elementary Schools. All of these have an overall score of B or B-minus on Niche. Molasky Junior High serves middle school students, scoring an overall C on Niche but an A for diversity. Grades nine through 12 attend Centennial High School, which has an overall B on Niche. The school provides students with various extracurricular activities, including archery, culinary club and improv club.

Getting around Lone Mountain, Las Vegas and beyond

In addition to Veteran's Memorial Highway, located on the neighborhood's eastern edge, several major thoroughfares connect Lone Mountain residents to the broader Las Vegas area. The Bruce Woodbury Beltway borders the neighborhood's western edge, while West Cheyenne Avenue borders the neighborhood's southern edge. These roads all provide access to larger highways like Interstate 15. Residents can also use these roads to connect to the North Las Vegas Airport, about 5 miles away, and Harry Reid International Airport, about 25 miles away. The Las Vegas Strip is also only about 13 miles away, or about a 20-minute drive, making it convenient for those who desire to get to the area quickly. With easy access to the surrounding area, Lone Mountain offers peaceful desert seclusion while remaining convenient to local amenities.
