Vegas' only mid-century modern community
The development of Paradise Palms was pioneered in the 1960s by Irwin Molasky, who wanted to create a community within walking distance of his new Boulevard Mall. He hired the architectural firm of Palmer & Krisel to design tract homes in various styles. Molasky’s original homes off Cayuga Parkway debuted in 1960. Common housing styles include mid-century modern and ranch-style homes, often featuring four bedrooms and nearly 2,000 square feet. Housing prices commonly fall between $300,000 and $500,000, but a few homes with additions and renovated kitchens can cost upwards of $600,000. A few homes have been entirely renovated, costing between $750,000 and $900,000. Lot sizes are about a quarter-acre, and many residents have rock gardens and towering palms in their yards. A few condos with two bedrooms cost between $150,000 and $250,000. Most streets in Paradise Palms have sidewalks, so locals often enjoy a walk.Golf at Las Vegas National Golf Club
In the heart of Paradise Palms is the Las Vegas National Golf Club. Since its development in 1961, the golf course has hosted PGA events like the Tournament of Champions and the Sahara Invitational and has welcomed celebrity athletes like Tiger Woods. The club has golf club rentals for beginners and features a golf shop. After a round, locals head to the club’s Rat Pack Bar and Grill for drinks, burgers or sandwiches. The Wynn Golf Club, about 2 miles from Paradise Palms, offers additional golfing options. Molasky Family Park is a 5-acre green space with a playground, a walking trail and ample green space.Valley High School features a robust list of student clubs
