Welcome to Lauderdale.
Welcome to Lauderdale.

Lauderdale is a residential community with access to two downtowns

Lauderdale is a small community northeast of Minneapolis, tucked between the city and places like Falcon Heights and Roseville. Homebuyers are often drawn to its relatively low home prices and its convenient access to downtown Minneapolis and Saint Paul. With a mix of classic bungalows and ramblers, plus green spaces and highly rated schools, the area balances suburban amenities with urban convenience.

What homeowners often pay for bungalows and ramblers

Unlike much of neighboring Minneapolis, which is often filled with Craftsman- and Tudor-style homes, Lauderdale has many traditional bungalows and ramblers added throughout the 1900s. They generally range from the high $100,000s to the mid-$600,000s. Condos usually sell from the high $100,000s to the mid-$300,000s. The area tends to be much less expensive than nearby communities like Falcon Heights, Midland Hills and Saint Anthony Park.

“The funny thing about Lauderdale is that people who live there stay there,” says Mary Schumann, a Realtor with Keller Williams Realty Integrity Lakes. “There aren’t many homes that come up for sale.” About half of all Lauderdale residents are renters, who mostly live in homes, though some have apartments.
