Comfortable homes with modern accents
Single-family houses in Boulevard Woods North are large, comfortable ranch-style and two-story dwellings ranging from 1,800 to 3,000 square feet. “People with children, larger families, they’re really looking for the space,” says Carol Muir, Realtor at The Keyes Company. Some have grand double-door entrances that lead to foyers, and many have vaulted ceilings, two-car garages, paved driveways and carefully maintained backyard patios and pools. Modern accents like asymmetrical sloped roofs and partial stone facades are common. Several residents enjoy stunning lake and canal views, but only a few are part of an HOA that maintains the central lake, with monthly HOA fees under $100. Otherwise, no other HOAs are in the neighborhood, and homes here are listed between $500,000 and $700,000.

Jackie Gleason Park, a nod to the actor
The closest park to Boulevard Woods North is Jackie Gleason Park, which pays tribute to the famous actor. The "Honeymooners" star put Lauderhill on the map when he bought a home at the Inverrary Country Club in 1970. Steven Modica, a broker with Real Estate Home Sale Inc., says that while times have changed since Gleason was in the spotlight, the city still lauds him. The park is close enough to walk or ride bikes across Inverrary Boulevard and features a basketball court, a covered playground with swings and benches. A colorful children’s splash pad shows birds and other creatures on its mosaic floor and sprays water from fountains sculpted to look like some of the animals. Nearby Bridges at Springtree Golf Club is one of the last remaining country clubs in the immediate vicinity. The onsite restaurant and bar overlooks the golf course grounds and serves breakfast and lunch daily. Smaller neighborhood parks are nearby, including Westwind Park, which has volleyball courts and a playground; Veterans Park, which has a swimming pool and soccer field, and Waters Edge Park, which has a splash pad and fishing area.
