Blooming residential growth and a slower pace of life on Lawton's East End
Eastlake is a blossoming residential community with new homes sprouting up alongside scenic walking trails and man-made lakes. The neighborhood is 5 miles from Lawton, and homeowners enjoy the rural seclusion that comes with being away from the city. "Residents have to drive a little way to get into town, but that's part of the draw," says Jim Ard, military relocation specialist at Park Jones Realty. "The pace of life is a little quieter, and they don't mind being removed. You're close to work without being in the middle of the busy town." Young children can still attend highly rated Lawton Public Schools, and well-connected transportation routes allow easy access to Fort Sill.

New construction and lakefront estates
Housing consists of single-family brick homes built within the past ten years. "The neighborhood represents new and upcoming homes," Ard says. "The architecture is unique for the area." Many properties feature Tudor and ranch-style architecture with gable roofs and multicar garages. Larger estates line the lakefront and feature scenic views of the water and surrounding plains. Lot sizes tend to run bigger than the national average, and a handful of backyards have swimming pools. Prices range between $250,000 and $400,000, while the average square footage runs from 2,000 to 2,800.

"A lot of other neighborhoods in Lawton don't even have sidewalks." The private club offers other amenities like tennis courts and swimming pools.
