Housing in the neighborhood dates to the late 1970s. Classic ranch-style homes with brick facades are predominant and popular among first-time homebuyers. "These are classic starter homes and there's a decent amount of turnover but also a decent amount of inventory," Speirs says. "They are also affordable enough for a purchaser or investor looking for an upgrade or rental property." Three-bedroom, two-bath houses price between $100,000 and $150,000. Newer builds can reach as high as $200,000, while older, smaller properties sell for $90,000. Single-car garages are standard, while the occasional multi-car garage can be found. Listings spend an average of 28 days on the market, lower than the national average of 44 days.

Lawton-Fort Sill Regional Airport is 7 miles away and offers four daily round trip flights to Dallas Fort Worth International Airport via American Eagle Airlines.
