Morford Hills is an established residential neighborhood in the middle of Lawton that combines walkability with sizeable single-family homes. “Houses here are larger than your standard starter home and often appeal to families and second-time buyers,” says Heaven Speirs, a local Realtor with Park Jones Realty and a Lawton native. “There are several parks scattered throughout the community, and many of the properties have sizeable yards.” Two of Lawton’s major employers are under 3 miles away, allowing for a short commute to work. And families landing here have access to highly rated Lawton public schools.

Midcentury Ranch-style houses on quiet streets
Housing dates back to the 1950s, and many of the brick ranch-style homes feature midcentury flair. Colonial revivals and renovated builds can also be found scattered throughout the quiet, lightly trafficked streets. “Because most of the homes in this area were built between the 1950s and 1980s, there are many styles of siding, facades, interior layouts and more,” Speirs says. “You may see a nearly all-original house sitting next to a complete remodel, which is why pricing varies quite a bit in the area.” Prices range between $150,000 and $300,000, which is above the average for the city of Lawton. The Enclave is a gated section of the neighborhood with stately brick homes and multicar garages.
