Several housing styles can be found around Lemmon Valley, with Ladera Ranch featuring Spanish-inspired stucco homes that have multiple attached garages. Ranch-style layouts are another option, sit on smaller lots close to the curb. Spacious modern Craftsman homes are ideal for growing families, and traditional one- and two-story homes offer sprouting trees dotted around the yards. Price tags in the area are in the $400,000 and $500,000 range, with a few falling in the $300,000s.
Classic cars at Hot August Nights
Being the Biggest Little City in the World comes with no shortage of good times, and residents enjoy all the events that go on during the year. Every May, the Hot August Nights Spring Fever Revival showcases a wide array of classic cars from 1979 and before. The family-friendly Leprechaun Race runs through several Reno communities, ending with a massive post-party at The Discovery.
Legendary shopping at Legends
In nearby Sparks, the Outlets at Legends Shopping Mall is a go-to for retail shopping, offering popular stores like Forever 21, Burlington and H&M. The outlets also house several sit-down and fast food restaurants along with frozen yogurt spots and a tea bar. Top-ranking JROTC at Spanish Springs
Served by the Washoe County School District, students can attend Lemmon Valley Elementary School and Cold Springs Middle Schools before enrolling in Spanish Springs High School. Featuring one of the top JROTC programs in the country, Spanish Springs holds an overall Niche score of B. Lemmon Valley also has a B, and Cold Springs has a B-minus.
State routes all around
State Routes 165, 172 and 205 run directly through the community, giving residents access to the surrounding areas. Route 165/Lemmon Drive also connects to US Route 395. Frequent fliers will appreciate knowing that a quick drive down Lemmon Drive leads to the Reno-Stead Airport. The RTC also has several routes that run through Lemmon Valley for those who opt out of driving.
Dual membership at Sierra Sage
The Sierra Sage Golf Course is a favorite of golfers in the area. Located in nearby Sparks, the course offers a walkable 18 holes with two putting greens and a grass tee driving range. Men’s and Women’s golf clubs are also a great way to meet and make friends, and they both host several events throughout the year, including two-day competitions. Sierra Sage membership also includes membership in the Northern Nevada Golf Association.
