Suburban Levittown living with shopping convenience
Goldenridge residents know they’ve made it home when they pass the blue welcome sign right outside of their neighborhood. Otherwise, Goldenridge is on theme with the rest of Levittown’s small, suburban sections. “When I drive through Levittown streets, I don’t see anything but housing,” says Stacey Stier, area resident and Realtor with Realty One Focus. “But each of these neighborhoods has a little strip of something that separates them and makes them unique.” In 1951, a real estate development company, Levitt & Sons, bought land 25 miles outside of Philadelphia and produced more than 17,000 homes in the span of six years. Following six basic models, the tract homes in Levittown began as housing for soldiers returning home from the war. And today, the town is known as the blueprint for modern-day suburbia.
“Levittown in Bucks County actually straddles three different townships, with three different school districts,” says Melissa Centifonti, local and Broker/Owner with Realty One Focus Group. “It’s a very middle-class area.” Goldenridge, along with the other neighborhoods throughout Levittown, offers residents that classic, family-friendly atmosphere. Each section has a playground, and sidewalks line the residential streets. Another attraction is the community’s proximity to different shopping plazas with local eateries, and Interstate 95 can be accessed from Goldenridge’s south side.

Retail sections at both ends of Goldenridge
As soon as residents leave the quiet streets of Goldenridge, they are met with a variety of shopping and dining options. "The Levittown neighborhoods are pretty much all residential,” Stier says. “The main roads around here, like Mill Creek Road and Edgely, are where all the businesses are. They connect everything together.” On the east side of Goldenridge along Mill Creek Road, there’s a small retail section with an Aldi grocery store. Pizza & Grill is a popular spot where the Italian menu offers more than just pizza. Gleasons Bar is the local watering hole, with multiple TVs displaying sports games, pub food and the occasional live music.
North of the neighborhood, Mill Creek Road intersects with Edgely in a somewhat busy commercial area. In addition to ACME grocers, there are fast food eateries, medical offices, gas stations and pharmacies. The Bridge Coffee and Community is a cozy, woodland-themed cafe that connects people together over brunch and lattes. Golden Dawn is an American and Italian diner, and Pizza Star has been serving slices since 1978. Bailey’s Bar & Grille is an Irish pub that offers ales, burgers and wings. And for a sweet treat, Richman’s Ice Cream & Burger Co. is the go-to spot for cones and shakes. About 3 miles east, Levittown Town Center is another retail area with big-name stores like Walmart.
There are a few houses of worship that surround the Goldenridge Community. Emilie United Methodist Church sits to the north, and First Baptist Church of Levittown and First Presbyterian Church of Levittown are on the west side. Isabet Mevlana Mosque is located just south of the neighborhood.

Commuter options throughout Levittown
Interstate 95 runs along the south side of Goldenridge, and once residents access the on-ramp, Philadelphia International Airport is about a 30-mile drive. “If I can fly out of Trenton, I will,” Stier says, referring to Trenton-Mercer Airport, located about 12 miles north. "The only things there are Frontier and Spirit. And there's only one terminal." SEPTA services the community, with several bus stops around the intersection of New Falls Road and Edgely Road. Train commuters can ride the SEPTA from either Levittown station or Bristol station, both about 3 miles away. The nearest hospital is Lower Bucks Hospital, also 3 miles south.
Older ranch styles and newer contemporary homes
Most homes throughout Goldenridge maintain their original Levittown build, including ranch-style designs and Cape Cods with side-facing gable and dormer roofs. “Some have been built up and expanded to include a second floor,” Stier says. While each house features a driveway, the older models typically come with a carport, and the more updated ones might have an attached garage. Similarly, the original Levittown home generally has 1,000 to 1,500 square feet of space, while the renovated homes might offer upwards of 2,500 square feet. Price tags reflect the house’s size and remodel date, usually ranging from $250,000 to around $550,000.

Pocket parks with playgrounds surrounding Goldenridge
On the south side of Goldenridge, Green Lynne Park is a small pocket park with slides and a swing set. It will likely be updated in the next year or so. “We’re beginning to replace all the satellite parks in each neighborhood,” says Brian Andrews, the Director of Parks and Recreation in Falls Township. “There’s a lot of emphasis on accessibility, especially for wheelchairs and children on the autism spectrum.” On the west side of the neighborhood, Indian Creek Park has a paved trail, a playground that was remodeled in 2023 and a painted full basketball court with lights. Just east of Goldenridge, Violetwood Park is another small green space with a playground. On the north side, in the commercial area where Edgely Road meets New Falls Road, is the public Levittown Library.
Less than 3 miles east, Pinewood Pool is a popular place to cool off in the summertime. The pool isn’t public, but memberships are offered for both residents and non-residents. A mile from Pinewood Pool is the Falls Township Community Park, which has a 3-mile paved loop, a playground, a skate park, athletic fields and courts that include a roller hockey rink. There is also Falls Township Lake, which welcomes kayaks, canoes and electric-motor boats. “Driftwood Adventures comes to the lake in the summer and offers paddleboard rentals from Memorial Day to Labor Day,” Andrews adds. Also in the summer, the community park hosts a concert series from June through August. “The concerts are played in the pavilion now,” Andrews says. “But we’re planning to add an amphitheater to the park and bring in even bigger acts for the community.”

Truman Senior High is a PLTW Distinguished School
Goldenridge students can begin at Mill Creek Elementary, which receives a C grade from Niche, before advancing to Benjamin Franklin Middle, which receives a C-minus. Truman Senior High, graded a B-minus, was honored as a Project Lead the Way (PLTW) Distinguished School for the 2023-2024 year, recognized for its transformative learning experiences. “There used to be more private Catholic schools in Bucks County,” Stier says. “But the public schools are all pretty decent across the board, so people don’t feel the need to send their children to private schools.”
Mill Creek Elementary School serves students in grades K-5.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
