Set in the southern reaches of Delaware County, the neighborhood of Wynstone is one of the many little communities that sprang up as expansions to the suburbs surrounding Columbus. With easy access to both work and play, most locals have come here to put down roots. “There are many families that live around here,” says Maya Joshi, a Realtor with Red One Realty. “Part of that is due to the school system and access to recreation and parks.”

Modern homes built in the 90s
Surrounded by young maple and oak trees, the homes of Wynstone follow the gently curving streets in long rows of Colonial Revivals and Contemporary Craftsmen. Houses often have less than 20 feet between them, though fenced-in yards and strategically placed foliage provide some privacy. Lots are rarely more than a fifth of an acre, with sidewalks cutting between the front yard and the curb. Two-car garages are standard, as are fireplaces and basements. Prices range from the low $300,000s to the mid-$400,000s, depending on size. Working railroad tracks stretch past the neighborhood’s west side, though residents insist they’re not a noise factor.
