Peaceful Lexington living within arms-reach of local amenities

Located right along Nicholasville Road and just southwest of the University of Kentucky, Deerfield is a suburban oasis where residents enjoy proximity to shopping and dining amenities, as well as community events. "Lexington is a college town and Deerfield is close to the university and the hospitals, making it a desirable place to be," says Jennifer Hukill, a Realtor with RE/MAX Elite Lexington who has served the area for a decade. "People that live in this area tend to be very family-driven," says Hukill, explaining that Deerfield's friendly community is bolstered by several highly rated public schools. "It's a very youthful vibe, I always see young families with their babies in strollers, or kids biking around together," adds Meredith Walker, a nearby resident and real estate agent. Bordered by a diverse offering of locally owned businesses and commercial properties, residents are just a short walk, drive or bike-ride from some of Lexington's most popular things to do. Whether it's listening to live music or making a quick trip to the farmers' market, Deerfield residents balance community with the excitement and amenities of Downtown Lexington, aka the "Horse Capital of the World."
