An entrance to the Lexington life with shopping, dining and schools close by
Living the suburban lifestyle shouldn’t mean sacrificing the joys of city life. Open Gates, situated on the southwest side of Lexington within the bounds of the New Circle Road beltline, offers a bit of both: well-kept mid-century homes on the residential streets with a quick drive out to entertainment, dining and retail options in some of the city’s best-known locales. Locals are also a stone’s throw from downtown Lexington and famed landmarks like Rupp Arena, where the University of Kentucky’s basketball teams take the court. “My biggest advice would be to stay as close to the middle [of Lexington] as possible,” says Cara C., a Lexington resident who’s lived in the city multiple times over the last 19 years. “That's where all the cool stuff is!”
