There’s a brewery and some restaurants around and it feels like it’s getting more popular, like they have grown more trendy over time as they fix things up,” she says. As it continues to grow, Salishan remains a community rich with wildlife, nearby restaurants and elegant oceanfront homes.

Northwestern style homes found in Salishan
Midcentury moderns and Northwestern home designs- they are distinct for their inclusion of natural elements - are popular in Salishan. “You see a lot of typical Northwest styles with lots of wood, rock and natural finishes. Inside, they have vaulted ceilings with wood beams. The lot sizes are pretty big, with at least a quarter or third of an acre,” says Heidi Rogers, a Principal Broker for Sotheby's International Realty with 11 years of home-selling experience. Homes are also often shaded by plenty of tree life, with some nestled right in the woods. Costs typically range between $500,000 and $800,000, with homes averaging two or three bedrooms apiece. Since 2020, home values have been steadily appreciating. Homebuyers should be aware of the the neighborhood's proximity to the Salishan Sanitary Plant, as this may cause some odor issues outdoors.
